CROTHERS TESTIFIES BEFORE CONGRESS

David Crothers, Executive Vice President of the North Dakota Association of Telecommunications Cooperatives, testified before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on June 21st, 2006 in Washington, D.C.

The hearing, "Universal Service: What are we Subsidizing and Why?" was held in response to legislation introduced by Congressman Lee Terry (R-Neb.) and Congressman Rick Boucher (D-Va.).

Crothers told members of the committee that universal service dollars were needed now more than ever in rural America if all of our nation's resident's are to participate in a 21st century economy. To see a full text of Crothers' comments, click here.
